Resume hidden-text checker

Check a resume for hidden text before you send it.

See whether a resume contains white, invisible, or explicitly hidden text that a person may miss but software could still read.

DOCX, PDF, or HTML up to 5 MB. The file stays in this browser tab.

No upload. No account. No document storage.

What the check looks for

The report uses deterministic document and style checks. It does not ask an AI model to interpret your writing.

  • White or transparent text
  • Text explicitly marked hidden
  • Zero-size or invisible HTML text
  • Simple off-screen HTML text

Why check

Review what readers may not see.

Hidden keywords and instructions can create a different document for software than the one a recruiter sees. Check the file at the moment it crosses from your editor into an application system.

Important limit

A clean result is not a guarantee. PDF is a complex visual format, DOCX may inherit theme styles, and HTML can load external CSS. tryb.dev reports what its supported static checks can prove and labels partial coverage.

Questions

Does tryb.dev upload my file?

No. The file is read and checked in your browser tab. Its contents are not sent to tryb.dev.

What file types can I check?

DOCX, PDF, and HTML files up to 5 MB. Legacy DOC files are not supported.

Does a clean result prove the file is safe?

No. It means the supported checks found no matching hidden-text pattern. Complex layout, images, external styles, and every PDF rendering feature are not fully evaluated.
